This certainly fits the challenge theme. I like the way the bins are also a part of the larger graffiti mural. Compositionally I think I would have tilted the camera to exclude the sky and roof furniture it doesn’t add anything whereas more street foreground would help contain and concentrate the focus more |

What an amazing bird Janine, I’m intrigued to know what it is, presumably an owl of some sort? This is quite different from your normal entry a refreshing and effective portrait. Those eyes are incredible! |

Hmm these challenges are tough to critique...not easy but I try. Personally I life leaves and the stages they go through, all the textures and curls, and think you have shown that very well here. I like the b/w as it helps reduce the leaf from probably uninteresting colours, at this stage, to more of a study in form and shape.
However, I feel that this shot translates more as a leaf macro which borders on cluttery, whereas most of those in the top ten show lots of negative space and a definite sense of the randomness in which the subject is found. I think just a portion of what appears to be one huge leaf would have been adequate.
