thanks Limbri and everyone that took the time to comment. i had a feeling it wouldnt do too well but i just laugh everytime i think of the title and how it goes along with the picture, and how the picture came out too of course.

here's an out take of my alternative entry. wouldve done better but probably not much higher than mid 5's since it's a bit soft.

Interesting subject, I like the colors a lot as well as the composition. I feel like it's missing something, but I can't put my finger on it. I think the patch of skin that I see as the focus isn't sharp enough perhaps?

I spent two weeks once, trying to reproduce this.



I learned a lot about lighting and lens focal lengths, and a little about apples. Apparently there are apples with fuzzy skins (although I couldn't find one then), and the water beads up on them better. A fuzzy skin might look better in a macro shot, too.
