Initial impression: a very good entry for this challenge. Shows furniture and more importantly there is a story here.

Technical: Great use of ambient lighting; dof good and composition is deceivingly simple but works very well. Like the filter you used, it seems to foreshadow a very long night ahead.

Artistic: The slant and rigidity of your body drives home a sense of discomfort. Love the tiny little blanket/shawl(?), it shows how you're having to make do with what you can scrounge while the wifey gets all the good stuff!

FWIW: Wouldn't change a thing. And you scored in the top 20 so good on you!

It amazes me how nicely spaced the seeds are on these things. I like the echo of green from the stem at the upper left - nice balance to the green at the tip of the strawberry.

Furniture with a story! I like the b/w, but the lighting is too high, so it draws the eye to the wall and the shadow.
