SaraRComment by Sting11165: This is definitely a candid shot, I like the fact everyone else is moving by quickly (and slightly blurred) to put the main subjects in focus. Is the woman really two-fisting Coronas? Their expressions are pleasant, which I believe to be important for candids, although the guy's nose bothers me, I can't tell if it is just the angle, or his expression, but something seems odd.
I would like to get a bit more of a connection with the subjects -- they just seem a little distant. A tighter crop might help with cropping out much of the passer-by on the right, but then you'd lose the dog. A slight vignette around the outside of the image might help draw the eye to the subjects. Or maybe a larger aperture (if you had one available) to isolate their faces a little more. Constrast and sharpness seem good, color is good (this might be a good one for B&W though).
Overall, I give it a 6. What keeps me from ranking it higher is the distance I feel with the main subjects, and their expressions aren't completely engaging. But I would have initially wanted to say 5, but the more time I spent with the image, the more I liked it.
Oh, and I don't know what Al Fresco means... I'll look it up :)
