Comment by jonnienye: they herons in florida are very shy as well, occasionally they dont seem to mind you getting close if there is the possibility of food (like when fishing and having live bait) still, seems just as you get set-up they spook ...lol i think this is the bird the the nooks followed to the sunshine state.
