Although you didn't post it in the thread yet, I know I've seen this image before. Guess it was a challenge entry. I like the colors. The DoF is very (perhaps too) narrow. It could be chives, but it can also be "whatever" :)

I think anyone would dismiss this image, at first - well, I did.
Only taking the time to observe the trees I could appreciated the lovely pattern the bare branches form (wow, are you in the south hemisphere to get these leafless trees at this time of the year?).
Maybe cropping an inch in the bottom and some of the top, would focus more the viewer to the trees and get him/her hooked right away...
