A little much...but that aside, the top of the picture has good lighting where as the mouth and blood don't. The blood doesn't stand out because of this.

My home town...my only comment apart from saying this is good is that it probably needs a tad more contrast...maybe even a slightly shorter exposure...you might have shot this in P mode...set the exposure to Aperture mode, set it at around F16, then try a selection of shutter speeds as just looking at this, it looks like the P mode over compensated for the available light and washed out ... 7
