Abstrappleberryby MelethiaComment by timfythetoo: I didnt much care for this one Deb. Reading your description I can see that you put thought and time into the setup but at first look it just seemed tossed toegther real quick and a shot taken. The colors didnt jump out and just seem a bit blah (I will look again when I get home as I am on my moms monitor and hers is pretty dark). Looking at the color tweaks I think you may have done better with one of those. The variations even in thumbnail had strong interest to me and the quad view makes for a great picture. |

Abstract compositeby MelethiaComment by timfythetoo: I havent commented on your original entry - but I like this. The color variations are fun and the four shots together create an image that is much stronger than your entry alone. Cool work Deb! |

Struttin'by MelethiaComment by nordicgirl: I like the sun and shade on road...good lights and colors. I would added more space at back of pidgeon because of his movement. |

Liquid Goldby MelethiaComment by hotpasta: great colours and movement, but I am not sure about the way it meets the challenge without your title...I'll give you the benefit of the doubt |

Relaxing Linesby MelethiaComment by BrianR: On my computer shows I scored a 6, liked the old time look. Fantastic finish just outside the top 20. |

Relaxing Linesby MelethiaComment by Louis: Quite gorgeous composition for this challenge, as there are so many lines to consider: those between the floorboards, in the walls, the window panes, the bench, all the wood grain, and the angled lines in the chairs. I quite like how the eye is drawn through to the centre of the image, and how the nested rooms add almost a bit of mystery that make us want to know what else might be going on here. My only criticism would be regarding the saturation. For me, perhaps using Curves to add a bit more depth and contrast to the colours and shadows would have enhanced what I see as a kind of relaxing mystery. In any event, a great photo. And I just checked - what an awesome placement! Congratulations! |
