I though this was fabulous, it really looks like a shooting star that I see in real life and it has transferred to photo where as many others, including mine, do not look like yours. I am a first timer at shooting stars, but it looks like you have the Milky Way as well!

Interesting composition, the brilliant meteor flashing across the upper right corner, almost an afterthought. Of course it's not, but it feels like a reminder that yes, the world is full of wonder. The glow of the Milky Way adds a subtle diagonal to the image. The trees work well as foreground, establishing scale and perspective.

The only great capture of a Perseid in this challenge. Pity that it's cut off, and I wish you had brightened the scene to bring out the Milky way and foreground trees, but kudos for the best meteor of the bunch!
