Young Life Cut Short by normw Comment by paganini: I think you got screwed for submitting a dark side of childhood. I absolutely loved this image. It would have been better to lower the camera abit and with a wider angle looking UP at the tree, bu the B&W rendition is good.

Young Life Cut Short by normw Comment by joanns: Very disturbing but a good photograph. Not necessarily on topic though. This is a child without childhood but the challenge is the other way around.

Young Life Cut Short by normw Comment by Meggie: I don't see this as an "impression of childhood". I see it more as one child's childhood, so you lose points for that (sorry). Otherwise it is a pretty good photo. I would like the background to be less in focus though.

Young Life Cut Short by normw Comment by mci: nicely framed and good light. not sure this says anything about childhood, though. the tombstone doesn't illustrate anything about this childs childhood except the fact that it was cut short. a good photo on its own, but not great for the challenge.

Young Life Cut Short by normw Comment by TerryGee: This is a nice photo in composition and an effective use of B&W...unfortunately I dont see it as meeting the challenge. This is one child who sadly didn't have a full childhood, but not a representation of"childhood".
