I like this little slice of life captured here in this street photography scene. A couple sharing the bench taking about the day. Cyclists are crossing the street riding to their destination. The play of light and shadows is just fabulous as that it adds character to the shot. B&W was the best choice for the shot so that it calls attention to the details and the light/shadow play without color to compete for the eye's attention.
Comment by Revecca: I love the cat's expression. Personally I would've cropped out all the extraneous objects in this image as I find them distracting. Just a cat, unamused by snow would've been sufficient (to me)
The snow provides great reflective light on the cat's face.I really like how the whiskers are seen in such a delicate way.
