Comment by Bibliophile: Beautiful! Nice choice for a black background, it really makes the color stand out. I'd try it with a closer crop, just to see if the petals could grab more of the attention rather than the stem.
Comment by Gringo: I love this picture, but I hate the title (not docking points for the title) The stem is perfectly placed and the soft natural looking light is excellent. Clarity is awesome, its a great entry for the orange challenge.
Comment by bledford: Lighting is very good on this flower, but perhaps not perfect. Where's the stem? I can make it out, but barely. It would have been cool to get the stem to go away entirely. Otherwise, it should be lit enough to show what it is. The soft focus is excellent and I like the transition of color from orange petal to green bud. Overall. it's a 7. Cheers!
