Blot 1789by GeneralEComment by kasaba: I am not sure what this is or how you made it, but I like the 3D feel you got. |

The New Fountainby GeneralEComment by noraneko: The wood look nice and rich, but the fountain isn't particularly prominent - getting lost in the photo without a clear subject. Lighting also looks a touch flat. No vote, comment only |

The New Fountainby GeneralEComment by willem: I don't think you have chosen the best position or circumstances to show the new fountain. Against a dark or cleaner background and with more use of reflection or refraction would have worked better. |

Blot 1789by GeneralEComment by noraneko: I really like the background- great contrast with the blot - and very well lit. Doesn’t need much editing, which speaks to your skills. 8 |

Show Yourself!by GeneralEComment by willem: I had to copy and paste it into photoshop to see the scene (on calibrated screen). Would have worked if it was not so extremely dark. |

Taking A Bad Photo?by GeneralEComment by noraneko: LOL, well, truth in advertising, I guess. The composition isn’t terrible, and you did manage to kind of spell out “bad.” So, kudos for effort at any rate. |

Taking A Bad Photo?by GeneralEComment by willem: Bad? depends on what you want to achieve...true, you could have gone for more precise and stylized letters, you could have gone for a full black background (there is a lot of detail hidden in the shadows), maybe add some other points of interest etc, but then it would not be a bad photo matching your title anymore, right? Maybe I will rate it higher later because of all this, I think I need to let it sink in first before I can fully appreciate it. |
