Another powerful image of the pitfalls and fruitlessness of war and how it means the end of so much for the innocent victims. I feel powerful emotions from the broken looking figure in the foreground. He looks dejected at having lost everything in the war and searches for his loved ones and possessions in the bombed out smoking ruins of what was once probably his home. Very dramatic photo and of high journalistic merit. Exceptionally well captured.

Brilliant in it's simplicity and powerful unambiguous message. Masterfully composed and executed with just the right amount of contrast and texture. I especially like that the glass has fallen over and that the water is running out of the glass.

The message of the "end" is powerfully brought across in the title and fits in perfectly with the challenge theme. Fantastic photograph. Gives a powerful message about the "END" being always present and that one has to be careful at all times. I love the purple socks and black and white striped socks. It makes a visual feast of this image combined with the black and white. Lots of depth and detail in this too.

Amazingly powerful image of a man dying of thirst in the parched waterless wastelands. Poignant presentation of reality and how the end can come upon us if we don't plan ahead in our journey through life.
