Scarbrd? David? This is so incredibly beautiful. I really love it. Do you mind explaining to me in a PM just how to achieve this lovely effect with post processing? I have often wondered how to get this kind of effect. I would very much appreciate it if you would share your secret with me. Another one of your images that I love is "Norwegian Dream" Did you use the same processing?

Fred

Congratz on the blue with this most deserving entry. Very cool and really very well done.

It reminds me a little also of the "Secret Chamber" on the South African music group "Die Antwoord"s website: TIP! Move your cursor over the various animated faces in the image with your sound turned on:
//www.dieantwoord.com/secret.html
and this lovely group photo of them:
//files.myopera.com/coxy/albums/527288/die_antwoord1.jpg
And the artwork incorporated into their zany video-clip..do give it a listen, it's something else:

And I myself have 2 images in my DPC portfolio as well that incorporate Zebra Stripes:
//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=845834
//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=805523

As someone already mentioned, it also does remind a little of Keith Haring's famous and controversial self portrait photographed by the famous Annie Leibowitz:

The Girl and the Sea

Lovely image indeed. One question. It strikes me that you seem to have taken this shot from quite a high angle looking down on the girl and also from quite close to the girl. You used a 12-24mm lens. Were you standing on a lifesavers tower? (unlikely as lifesavers towers are not right on the edge of the water) Or maybe you are a giant and the girl is a dwarf :) But seriously, I would like to know.
