A great idea and photo. |
Haha, Peter - that's a very cute compliment from somebody, who's got only 7+ entries on his front page... ;-) |

The Photographerby MelethiaComment: You made a good choice - to pick a picture that is winning hearts!
Most of us can identify ourselves with this photographer, whose pose is a mixture between dedication and whimsicality...and the moment the flash fired is captured perfectly! |

City of dreamsby mqnaufalComment: What a stunning view! I don't mind the distortion of the skyscrapers - I just adore the combination of warm colours of traffic and the blue of the buildings. A beautiful picture!
I booked flights to Dubai for next March (my first time) - maybe I can ask you for some advice some time? |

Woo-hoo! 2000th Challenge - a reason to shoot a firework rocket by primabarbaraComment: Woo-hoo once more! My first ribbon!
I can't believe it - thank you so much, dpc-voters!!!!
Since I reckoned without doing so well in this challenge I didn't offer an explanation in photographer's comments, which I really do regret now (and I don't know if and how I can add a comment subsequently, sorry). But here it is:
This image was taken August 2008, while a summer festival firework took place at the Olympic site in Munich/Germany. I knew about the firework and went up to the television tower observation deck next to the olympic stadion several hours before it was supposed to happen, positioned my camera on a tripod and waited for the sky rockets (@ melethia: no drone ;-) - can't afford it!)
Really happy that my plan worked out!
What a perfekt start in my day (it's about seven in the morning where I live)! I wish you also a great day! Message edited by author 2014-11-12 01:27:58. |
