eruption and polar light combined - this might end in a Top 5 even when the most sharpness is not on the steam but in the foreground reflection (which I like really much!)

This is a nice shot. I know, we're not supposed to look at the novel behind the opening line, but I can't help to think of Oliver Twist, since this is such a strong and famous quote. And this photo doesn't quite fit, doesn't show need but enjoying a sweet treat.

Ohh... The Shadow of the Wind: I enjoyed this book very much. And I think your entry is a great illustration of it, it has the necessarey vintage look because of the flat cap and the buttoned up shirt. I would have guessed that book even without your title.
