What a wonderful experience this must have been!!! Something I've been wanting to do a long time. I love the directional quality of the afternoon (morning?) sun. There is a loss of detail on the left of the main balloon due to the brightness of the colors, but this should be a very popular shot.

A shot worthy of APOD! Great sky and really sharp capture of the comet. I think it may be too "understated" for this challenge, but I really do appreciate this shot.

Sublime shot. The warm sky makes a lovely background for the cool hills. The lit face of the snow in the foreground is distracting, however, since the rest of it blends into the background mountains.

I LOVE mantas. These look like they are flying in the air. Incredibly clear ocean, their wing positions are wonderful, and the black specs of the fish add interest. The sand is a little featureless.

That's quite an outfit! Wonderful juxtaposition with the desat surroundings. Like the balance of thirds with the little girl, the central double trunk, and the wider space to the left. Very pleasing image.

A case where vignetting adds to the shot I like how it pops the subject, who is adorable. Would have preferred less hair across her face (makes me want to sweep it away), but there is nice detail throughout the shot, and the vignetting does much to eliminate the distracting legs in the back.
