Your vision of the boots as a good subject was spot on! It just needs a bit of tweaking of the technique... and before you know it, you'll be scoring with the 'high rollers' here. *grin*

Pay attention to a recurring theme in the comments and work on those things one item at a time until you conquer that (ignore the odd ones! *grin* ). Compete with yourself on your score. Can you score just a tad bit higher next entry? Then a bit higher the next? It's all about learning, you know.

Thanks, Techo! That means a lot to me because, for the year 2008, (if I'm reading the list correctly) there is only one image with a higher score than this and that is YOURS!


I think folks were being very generous with their scores since it was a tribute challenge. I didn't realize this was a really good score until kteach had me looking at the high scoring photos.

Regardless, I appreciate the high votes and the really friendly and encouraging comments (AND the ones that aren't!). This place is WONDERFUL! Even when my score is low, folks have encouraging AND helpful things to say to help me grow.

I hope I can add back even a portion of what I've gotten from this site's commenters.
