I like the title, I like the concept, but for something that is referring to energy, I would like to have seen more brightness from the picture. The cooler darker tone (greenish on my screen), does not convey energy. Maybe a lighter background to really help the splash (cool capture!) and the battery pop out more.

I am purposefully seeking out the ones that are more than just a picture of a battery - but I don;t think I totally understand the meaning of this picture. It looks like you might have a good story here but the title is kind of throwing me.

I usually root for the abstract but this has my a little puzzled. Is it like being at bat in a baseball game? That is what your title makes me think. Otherwise, I am not totally sure of what you are showing.

Wow look at the composition... Love the rule of thirds here. Why it's in focus and CLEARLY is the MAIN FOCUS of the picture. I like the lighting use to convey the loneliness of the one battery. The color tone sets creates a nice mood. Ever active and yet just sitting and waiting for action - nice juxtaposition. And the title - what a hoot! Um but how do I know that this really is an AA battery? I just don't SEE the AA... HA! Just kidding. Beautiful job!
