Pair - Pear by NeatComment: A pleasing diptych. I like the 'modern' feel to the image, and the cleanness of it. You have handled the transition from the table top to the background well. The only thing I am not so keen on is your handling of the border, in particular where the two photos meet. |

the Lieutenant Colonel (retired)by MichaelCComment: This looks to be the archetypal British Army retired officer of fairly recent yesteryear. Except the nerd in me doesn't recognise the mess dress, which makes me think he may be a Commonwealth country RO. None the less, a fine portrait. |

PEARS/PAIRSby kiwinickComment: A pleasing pair - I like the limited colour palette, and the old chopping board adds just the right amount of interest without becoming dominant. My only slight disagreement with your composition is in the way the board leans to the right as it recedes - for some reason it slightly bothers me. |
