Fall Foliageby ladpupmoeComment: A pretty early autumn scene - detail is poor, but I suspect that is down to the 700px limit (I really struggled finding an image I could reduce the DPC size) |

The road leads to Paradiseby Alex_PetriniComment: Interesting play of the manmade and the natural. Foe me, the road is a little too prominent - I feel a tighter crop from the bottom would still keep that contrast, but would remove some of the tension - but then, that tension might be what you were aiming for. 7 |

Appalachian Trailby jcarComment: A super vista, with decent composition. Certainly interesting to see a part of the world I have read of, but in terms of the photo itself, there doesn't feel anywhere to rest my eyes. |

Spores on Cabbage Leavesby GeneralEComment: Interesting, but the wilted leaves don't do a great deal for me visually. My eye is repeatedly drawn to the bright patch in the upper right. I suspect the a more visually appealing photo would have been a couple of weeks earlier when the bracken still held it's spores. |

October Oaksby mpetersComment: What super tree trunks! For me that is what the photo is about - it would work just as well in mid winter as in late autumn as it appears here. Excellent control of what looks like a tricky exposure. |

Fisheye Foliageby jim29028Comment: Cool idea - for me, the boots and foliage are a little too far away - might be worth retaking with the camera held closer to knee level. |

treeby LydiaComment: An interesting, graphical take on the subject. I like the way that you have separated the tree form its environment, focussing on shape and form. I rather wish that there was less detail in the grass. |

The Leaf Eaterby vawendyComment: HA, very cute. Unlike some other photos in the challenge, this very well photographed capybara (?) is completely relevant, with its interaction with the foliage. Super work. 8. |
