Weaker? I've been staring at both pictures for about ten minutes, and I guess you're right. I really liked the lines in the ceiling and the soaring feeling to that vaulted roof in the challenge picture. The challenge picture did sort of fizzle out at the end of the aisle (the altar?), in that there really wasn't much to see there except a shadowy figure.

To me, this picture is a lot more visually interesting, but you seem to be standing a lot closer to the door than you were to the altar, so we lose a lot of the feeling of depth that we got from the ceiling in the first picture. On the other hand, with that door frame pointing upwards, the pipe organ, and the stained glass window set into the ceiling vaults,you've given us a lot to look at, and the feeling I get is up, up, up which is what the builders intended in the first place. And that human figure which is so small, again by design of the builders, to remind us of our place in the scheme of things.

Love the clarity and colors -- the blues are awesome. The figure in the doorway is a nice touch -- puts things in perspective.
