This is an image that may not fair well with the 10 second voters... well, it'd probably do okay, as I gave it a 7 on my voting pass for the challenge and probably only gave it about that, but only know while commenting do I get a true appreciation of the subtleties of it. The translucent 3 of clubs, the long exposure giving us the tossing hand motion (noticed the blurred hands but didn't make the connection... my defence... I DID have a roasting temperature for the past few days, during which I voted... good thing I'm better now and I'm back)... and I love the read boxers. So, now that I've noticed that, I think even a 7 might have been a bit harsh (and I don't give out too many 7), so I think an 8 is more like what this image deserves.

This is a great image. Wonderful use of the thirds and leading lines. Processing is superb. The one issue I have is we can't see the kids face, so the boredom is assumed by the viewer, but not confirmed... I initially gave this a 7 when voting, but on closer inspection while commenting, I think it's worthy of more. Reckon I'd give this a 9 or 10 if I had that confirmation I spoke about... still think an 8 is a bit harsh... a 9 is fair I think. Well done. Hope to see this with a ribbon beside it.

Nice capture. Well composed too. Processing is excellent. Having done some stationary guard work myself, I feel for this poor guy.

A great image. Wonderful use of the third line. While the stance of the subject suggest boredom, I think the fact that we can't see their face may hurt this photo with the voters. I love the processing as it adds to the bored theme.

This is an image deserving a ribbon. Not just for the guts you've got to break so many "rules" (i.e. cut off head and feet, centred composition, massive borders), but for doing it AND still producing a masterpiece such as this. This is wonderful. Originally gave it an 8 when I made my voting pass, but I'm bumping it to a 9. Well done.

This is a fantastic example of street photography, even better that it means the challenge perfectly. The expression on the girls face is perfect, as is the guy yawning in the centre of frame. The one issue I have with the image is that my eye is drawn away from the subject by the curved tracks... I understand the perceived need for them for composition/balance... but IMHO I think it may hurt the image more than it helps... but really, what do I know. Still rank it as one of my top 5 images for the challenge, and think you've done a great job.

Excellent composition and detail. Great use of shallow DOF too. Contrast etc great. The best thing about this image is that you're drawn to the face, and the expression which scream boredom. Beautiful job with this. Well done.

I really like this photo... it's an excellent capture... it's well composed... well processed... I like the rawness of it. I fear it won't do as well as it deserves to though... it's not DPC candy. But it's up there in the top 5 images of the challenge for me.

This is by far my favourite image in this challenge.. by far... lighting is perfect, composition and detail and contrast excellent. I gave this a 9 during my voting pass on this challenge, and now that I'm looking at it again, I can't see any reason not to give it a ten... so a 10 it will be from me.

Excellent job. Deserves the blue, and no less than that.
