Firing Glassby jonpinkComment: Gorgeous. Very simple and eye-catching. Glass is a little off center, but still one of my favorites. |

Gas Fireby redmoonComment: Oooooh.... purty colors. I like the color and composition; don't care for the blown-out white spots and foreground focus. This is a tough one- technically flawed but visually appealing. |

Blazing Nebulaby marboComment: Uh, no. Ionized gas glowing from intense radiation does not constitute fire to me. A tighter crop could have hidden the severe vignetting around the edges, too. I will concede that this is a better deep sky photo than I've been able to muster, though. ;-) |

Fireby dustin03Comment: I like the blue glow on this one, and the forms are very sculptural. The small flame on the right helps to balance the composition, too. Given that this is on a liquid, I'd like to see more of the reflection below- maybe a vertical crop? Nice job. |

Get Outta My Face!!by ShelleyComment: Clearly one of the top shots this week. Too bad the lioness wasn't more confrontational (or at least facing him), but you don't have much control over that. ;-) |

Fire The Canonby xtwizxComment: Good choice for this challenge. Beautiful composition and lighting. The only things I can pick on are that the snow is obviously blown out and the cannon's shadow might have been more interesting at a later time of day (plus, you would have picked up shadows in the snow). Still, this is one of my top three picks. Nicely done! |

Afterschool Conflictby glenfotoComment: Great idea, but it the execution suffers. Brighter ambient light may have helped the exposure, and cut down that harsh white button. Still, one of the better photos this wek. |
