I like the idea of this image, but for me the lighting doesn't work. He looks like he is standing in a "well lit area" which is in contradiction with the title and I think intention of the picture. I do like the composition though.

Seems to me like he is just out of focus? I would have preferred if the focus was him and/or the image a bit crisper. Lovely composition though and great for this challenge, also like the crop

For me this composition doesn't work. In the B&W the periwinkle doesn't really stand out enough and my eye goes to the light reflection of the sun rather than the focused front and even before it goes to your supposed focus point it then goes to the bridge ... Just seems too much IMO. I like the idea of having something small in the forgroound to focus on, juast think that then the background should have been different.
