I think this frame would have worked better with a different crop. At present the two branches at the bottom is actually a "stronger" frame than the one you chose.

Whatever this is, I like the image a LOT. However, for me "the subject" should be framed and I have no idea what your subject is - the stick thing or is it a dark vase with a stick thing painted on it? If your subject is the twig, I don't think it is strong enough to stand out in this image. If it is a dark vase it is not very clear eitehr ... I would have scored you much higher but for the interpretation, which to me is a problem.

I think this is lovely and I would have scored it much higher if the sun wasn't as prominent or in a different place. I find it very disctracting without adding to the picture (my opinion only of course)

I am still learning who the South Africans are on this forum - well done to a fellow SA. personally I prefer the flat Freestate, but it sure isn't as photogenic as this scene. Lovely Picture, really, really nice. Is there another mountain where you took the picture from, or were you in a helicopter/plane?
