Summer Days

The lighting, the composition, the pukey color green the shadows the bench placement, the girl in the back, the expression of the girl in front, the shape of the photo and the large dead area of grass on the bottom right all add up to make this shot truly unappealing. This is a higher standard, this is a "Masters' challenge." I wouldn't really want a print of this even if I liked little kid shots running around in formal dress. I'm sorry to be so critical, but I have to be honest.

Golden Light

Monkey pictures? The lighting is nice but when I put a shot of a gorilla in my portfolio, its normally a goof. The teat is too disturbing , and the knee/thigh is the focal point. I realize that many times you can control a scene and the lighting but if you advertise the lighting in the title, you best be aware that the composition is influenced by the lighting and the focal point is most likely where the darkest point meets the lightest point.
On the brighter side, This could be the king of all primate nude shots.

Misty Morning

I like mist but this is a bit boring and the reflection ruins the shot- I don't think I'd want a print of this, its not too appealing. But the color is decent, and the tree deep in the mist is pretty.

I already saw a dragonfly- but this kicks its ass. This has a nice blue and tan color scheme and perfect focus. Great entry
