Even without the title, one feels the erosion of time and the glimmers of hope.
I like this image a lot but it remains a bit decorative which is not at all a demeaning remark. I could see it used as a pattern for tiles and its random positioning in relation to each other would create a spectacular geometric effect.

Interesting concept but I have a problem with the composition. The grey around the image makes a vertical plane, the floating figure is in perspective. To make a bolder statement the figure should be in my opinion either much smaller or almost bigger than the "canvas". The effect is undecided. I left a long comment because I see the struggle.

Beautiful composition but in my opinion, in order to meet the challenge you decreased too much the contrast. Am I right? Perhaps a hint of a tone would have taken the monotonous bland grey away. Nevertheless, it's certainly first page stuff.
