This is unquestionably my favorite entry of this challenge. Rust and distressed layers of paint(?) on... what? a storm drain. Or to quote a favorite comic discussion his interpretation of what a mime was doing, "it's either a man trapped in an invisible box, or the Budapest String Quartet in a revolving door. Whatever it is, it stands alone as an abstract composition that I could see hanging on the wall.
Comment: For the First Ten! side challenge - This is image #6 in my random voting thread: Really clever. I first thought it was threads on some kind of woodworking clamp, but now I'm seeing the E, A, D strings of a guitar - just before the bridge. A perfect subject, well - executed.
Comment: One of my top picks for this challenge. Looks like it might be some metallic exteriors of insulation panels.. but that wouldn't be macro.. so, I haven't got a clue. Love the color variations and diagonals.
