I'm trying to imagine doing a "paint with light" for a minimal editing shot and trying to figure out the length of exposure and time to spend "painting" each part. That's pretty impressive.

Thank you, Wendy. I loved this field and just had to stop for it. Robert and I both shoot with Sony mirrorless cameras now, and the alpha 7 and 7R are the same body and we set them up the same, so it's a pretty seamless transition from one to the other. The main difference is that while we bought two 24-70 mm lenses we share a wide angle and a 70-200 lens and the wide angle is usually "housed" in Robert's camera bag !!

The image is priceless by itself, but then to read this "Jesse had no idea what had been done.". That's the part I find really great. What was his reaction when you showed him the images, or when he saw the back of Jeff's head, whichever occurred first?

I'm curious to know if you generally, and specifically in this case, use a remote control for your camera, so the act of taking the image is less obvious to those around you?

Great image for a new PB. Congratulations. So glad you came back after taking a break from DPC! Love how you captured the dew on the grasses. Great contrast to the misty softness.
