I really like this one, but in looking at it again, something strange is going on with his pants leg. Were you trying to clone something?

That could have been fun! I was going more for an old masters' type of feel. It's too pink for that, but I liked the soft light. :)

My dad liked Canaletto's, so that's what I thought when it first popped up. "A Canaletto!" and then I read the title. :)

Congrats on the red!

Nit picky, but your horizon is tilted a tad. It's still an 8 from me, but once someone pointed out tilted horizons, they stick out a lot when I view them. :)

But this is one of the few that I feel actually has a foreground, middle, and far part to the photo. :)

I really really like this one, but imo, it doesn't fit the definition. It is my understanding that in layering:

Good landscape photos have layers or objects in the foreground (close to you), middle ground (medium distance from the camera), and background (farthest away)

Really, none of this is close to you. It's all pretty much far away. We don't get a feeling of what is right next to you.

You may disagree with my definition, but I like the photo so much, I needed to explain why it is a 5 instead of an 8.

The obvious winner. One of the few that actually does use a foreground effectively.
