I'd have tried to not lose the detail in the brightest highlights, but that might be your choice to force the viewer to the eye.

BTW -- this would be a great sumbission to the Mirror Project, if you need yet another photo project (//www.mirrorproject.com).

The (kid's) left ear seems quite a bit lighter than the rest of the visible skin, but I didn't really notice until I went back and looked again. I might adjust it if I was going to go back and print it.

Good job with a "difficult subject." I'm curious as to how you shot this (timer, manual, remote) an how much you had to crop the original frame (if you have time after the voting's over).

I want a pediatric OR cap with balloons printed on it (if that is what that is, that is)!

Having things a little brighter overall might help covey a more optimistic outcome (if that's what you want to convey, of course).
