Hostageby BeagleboyComment: Lighting and composition well-suited to and reinforce your unusual interpretation. Good job avoiding haloing and artifacts under those lighting conditions. |

My First Portrait Attempt! (My Son Karson)by ConcreteDonkeyComment: Pretty good first try ... I like the colors and the lighting is pretty good in the important parts. I think I'd try a small counter-clockwise rotation to level the drumhead (the point of maximum contrast; it attracts the eye), but not so much as to get his eyes too out of level --the drumt is a good prop for this shot. |

Gizelleby MalokataComment: I really like the combination of tones and texture -- reminds me a lot of an oil painting. |

Black & White on Colorby DJLubaComment: Some of the highlights look a little over-exposed, but a good job holding detail throughout the dark tones. |

Someday.....by geewhyComment: Nice combination of softness and detail. I'm OK with the brightness of the exposure on the arm, but what looks like some haloing along the shoulder on the right is a teensy bit distracting. |

Kellyby TallblokeComment: Strong colors, lighting make me think of a concert photo. I think as a "portrait" it would be stronger with a somewhat tighter crop. |

Mayor of Dogvilleby ellamayComment: I'm missing the top hat, cigar, and "Vote for Me" button :)
S/he looks very "dignified" under the circumstances -- good job getting the focal plane centered around his/her eyes. |

Ponderousby dagills22191Comment: Good lighting to see the hair on the table, "limited color scheme" works well. |

Blond light by LouisonComment: Lighting, color, pose are all great. Only tiny change I'd have made would be to clone out the lower catchlight in her right eye to make the pupils symmetrical. |
