Freedom of Speech - R.I.P. (intended image)by dimitriiComment: Just to be safe, you should put the circle-C (©) symbol on there as well -- some countries don't recognize just the english word "copyright."
Use Alt-0169 on Windows or Option-g on a Mac
I love the way you "pixelized" the hand without obscuring its meaning at all. |

Freedom Flight by marboComment: Dang! Nice shot -- I just took Isaac to fly his first kite today and took about 10 shots like this. Now I have validation that they are not snapshots!
Congratulations! |

One Monkey Short of a Full Benchby GeneralEComment: Originally posted by OneSweetSin: Thank you for the amusing look at see no evil...my question is...is he a monkey Dad? Thank you ... sometimes he does seem like a little monkey boy ... I have to admit this motif isn't entirely original, even for me:
We don't have that many Concord grapes out here (even in Concord!), but that same dusty bluish-purple is also found on the elderberries which grow wild all over. |

One Monkey Short of a Full Benchby GeneralEComment: Originally posted by Bran-O-Rama: Didn't mean any offense about the slanted bench but I thought the subjects in the foreground were the focus of the image. Isn't it much more natural to see a "slanted" or angled roof than an unleveled bench? :/ |
Sorry, I was tired when I wrote that. I'll have to try it and see how it looks. To me, it was obvious that the far rooflines are part of entranceways, and as such would look odd if slanted. But others might not notice.
The other factor is that, although the bench slants, Isaac is somewhat compensating and sitting up pretty straight. There's also a vertical seam in the window right behind his shoulder.
I appreciate the suggestions! My mom was visiting, and I know she'll like it regardless of the roofline :)
Now if I could only have made it purple ... |

.by David.CComment: Clever, original interpretation. I wish the specular reflection on the right wasn't quite so bright or large, as it pulls the eye away from the "subject" in the center a bit. |

NEW, with on-camera photocritic expert sofware PONTIFICATOR 3.0by jjbeguinComment: Originally posted by banmorn: My only 10! Great idea, novel and good execution. Guess not everyone was as amused as I was. Super job. And I agree with the "What Were You Thinking?" Bullet! LMAO! Great! |
Only problem is ... you've now given some 17 year-old programmer a reason to think "Hey, why not?"
Better take out a trademark on that name quick :)
WWYT? wouldn't apply here because you're still composing the photo before pressing the shutter. Maybe "Wait! What Are You Thinking?" would work, although it may also be a somewhat DPC-community idiom more than photographic jargon. Message edited by author 2004-07-14 21:33:16. |

Hmmm ... "hard to tell" was more or less the theme of this photo.
On a side note, I just looked at the photo on my profile page ... hmmmm ... |
